Human Eggs!

Today was a rare day that I was actually able to accomplish a lot of what I set out to do. Dylan - my energetic little man that he is, actually let me sit down and work for about 4 hours straight without too many interruptions. This was wonderful! So, I decided to take a little extra time to make egg burritos for lunch today. As I was cracking the eggs into the bowl, Dylan looked at me and said, "You know mommy, those aren't really chicken eggs." To this I smiled and then replied, "oh no? What do you think they are Dylan?" "They are human eggs mommy, see the middle is yellow. There isn't a cute little chick in there, so they have to be human eggs." I immediately started giggling. So I asked him what he would do if they were really chicken eggs, and he told me that he wouldn't eat them if they were chicken eggs, because baby chicks are too cute and cannot be eaten!

It is so funny and touching to hear what children are really thinking about everyday things that we take for granted.

Family Update

Time sure does go by fast! I started this blog in May, I spent a lot of time making my own template and did my first post about Disney. This is the first time I have come back online and when I logged in to post my blog headers and pictures were blank. I made the mistake of linking to pictures instead of just uploading my own. Anyway - here's to a new start!

The whole family is very excited about our baby to be. Ethan and Dylan come hug my tummy and tell the "baby" that they love it every day. Dylan says that he is going to name the baby spiderman because he knows it is a boy. It has been a crazy pregnancy and I ended up with an infection from the PICC line I had. I am still fighting off a rash from it that has just been hanging on and has spread down both of my arms now.

Well we find out what we are having tomorrow, I have my fingers crossed..in hopes for a healthy baby!

Dylan is doing really good, his latest passion is putting puzzles together that are for ages 5+. He likes to do them by himself and he likes me to sit and watch him.

Ethan has been busy with the Cub Scouts. He has earned his belt loops for the following: Archery, BB guns, Fishing, and Swimming. He also got a recruiting badge for recruiting a couple of his friends. Go Ethan!!

Spring Break 2008

We took a family vacation to Disney World. The boys didn't know we were going, and thought that we were in Florida to do some Jr. Ranger programs (which we also did to throw them off). They were more than excited when they saw the Disney World sign, and still didn't think that we were really at DW. The 1st day we spent at Epcot...and went on the viking ride, which scared both of them to death and neither of them wanted to go on anymore rides (thank God for the power of pursuasion--I finally convinced them to "cover" their eyes if it got scary and they soon decided to go on more rides). The boys each had their favorites, Ethan's was the Power Rangers and Donald Duck. We spent forever in lines so Ethan could see all of the power rangers, the yellow one is the one that actually got him to pose and make some moves. Dylans favorites were Little Einsteins, and Woody and Buzz (of course!). The last picture is one of Dylan's princess. We were sitting down to eat and he kept running over to peek at her then running back to me to tell me she was a pretty princess. Her dad thought it was the greatest thing and wanted to take a picture- the girl was not so enthusiastic about this. Dylan however was totally excited and ran up, pulled up a bench for her next to him, then ran and got his hat on for the picture!
