Ethan's crossover to Wolf
Ethan has crossed over from Tiger cub to a Wolf. We had a nice pack meeting complete with a cub-o-nater. Scouts went in one side and their scarfs were changed behind the scenes and they came out the other side in their new rank. They loved it.
Mom-isms
I came across this on the internet and thought they were great:
Momfinitions
Seems like Mr. Webster left out some pretty important parenting terms. Read, relate and then submit your own in the comments section!

I can only do drugs
All too often my children come up with some of *the* strangest things to say or do.
This is one of the latest from Dylan. I was making his favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch and he came into the kitchen, pulling himself across the floor. What are you doing? I asked him, "oh, well, I'm just coming into the kitchen. All I can do is drugs." Now, I think for a minute that I misunderstood what he said so I asked again. "All I can do is drugs" he replied again. "Do you know what drugs are?" I asked him. "yah, sure I do. It's when you have an allergy in your back and you can't walk". "An Allergy in your back and you can't walk? What does that mean" I questioned. "It means that my back is twisted out, you know, sticking out funny and I can't walk?, so I'm doing drugs to get in the kitchen"

Wolf DL Training
Kevin and I went to the Cub Scout Wolf Den Leader training last night. It was absolutely miserable! There were about 40+ people in the room, with NO air conditioner, and it went from 6:30 to 9:30. Not only was it bad from the heat, but it has been so humid in San Antonio these past few weeks, so it was a heat that made your clothes stick to you, and we are all crammed in next to eachother =P SO GROSS!
Other than that the training was great! We are looking forward to working together this year with the scouts and are planning some great activities for them.

Mom's birthday
It is another beautiful day in San Antonio, we actually have a nice breeze to ward off the humid heat. Today is my mom's birthday, and she probably thinks that I have forgotten about it since I didn't say anything when we spoke on the phone this morning. Dylan and I are baking a cake and the boys are making cards for her to celebrate.

Catching up
Life has been so busy that I haven't posted anything in a while. A lot has gone on since Keenan was born. Ethan is playing baseball now, he is doing AWESOME and most important he loves it. As the end of the year approaches I just keep thinking of how fast it is all going. He will be ending the 1st grade, and it seems as though he just started. Ethan is doing great at school, and enjoys it for the most part, except the most "borrrring" homework ;) He will also be crossing over from a tiger cub to a wolf next week. We are really looking forward to the ceremony, they are always a lot of fun.

The Star Wars float Ethan and I worked on for the fiesta parade they held at school.
Dylan is doing great as well. I have shaved all his hair off after several requests that he has made to have it all cut off so he could look like Uncle Nick. I finally gave in as he has only been asking me since last year, afterall it will always grow back =P He looks really cute and fortunately he has a good shaped head for the cut. Dylan is learning to write his ABC's and also starting to learn how to read.

Keenan is growing like a weed....literally, he just had his well baby visit and received his 2 month shots. He was not very happy about that, and Dylan was not happy about that either! Keenan is now giving us some great smiles and he loves to chat with anyone that will listen. It is hard to get a good picture of him smiling; as soon as the flash goes off his look changes but here are a few that I have caught.

Kevin is doing great now that NCCDC is over and he is not quite as busy. We are thinking about taking a couple of cooking classes together - not sure which one yet as we haven't decided but it will be a good time! =)
